Solar umbrella light will enable you to enjoy the night and get the advantage of solar power. Solar-powered umbrella lights come with LED light and a stylish look to create an excellent environment.

It is cost saving for outdoor lighting and enhances the beauty of your garden, backyard, deck, pool, etc.

However, it is very frustrating to find out that your solar umbrella lights are not working after a period of using. But did you know you can fix it with simple tricks even if you are not a tech-savvy person?

Most of the time the battery is the culprit! Solar-powered umbrella lights do not function due to faulty batteries. Either the batteries are not receiving the charge or it is not holding the charge in. To test this, you can replace the batteries with regular ones. If the light works with the regular batteries, then you can go on to establish the problem is caused due to the rechargeable batteries of the solar umbrella lights. Then the next step you should do is to replace batteries.

It is recommended to change the batteries in your solar umbrella light every year or when you feel the light output is weakening or the light is not working.

Follow the steps below to replace batteries for your solar-powered umbrella light:

Step 1: Place the solar panel upside down on a flat, clean and smooth surface to avoid scratching. Remove four (4) screws on the bottom case.

Step 2: Open the battery casing and see what type of battery you have, take a moment to examine the battery type your solar light has. The information on your old solar light battery can help you determine the battery size and capacity to install.

Step 3: Remove old batteries, install only with new rechargeable batteries of the same type in your product, make sure to matching the polarity “+/-” marked on the battery case. your new solar lights battery should have the same specifications as the old one. But if it’s necessary, it might also be okay to install one with closely related specifications.

Step 4: Carefully close the bottom case. Align the screw holes and replace the screws. Do not over tighten the screws.

Step 5: Turn on you light and test the new battery.

WARNING:

  • Do not mix old and new batteries.
  • Install only new rechargeable batteries of the same type in your product
  • Do not mix Alkaline, Nickel Cadmium or Lithium rechargeable batteries.
  • Failure to load batteries in the correct polarity, as indicated in the battery compartment, may shorten the life of the batteries or cause batteries to leak.
  • Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
  • Batteries should be recycled or disposed of as per state, provincial and local guidelines.
